According to Michael Hay's "Bentley: The Vintage Years" - 1997, this car was used as a demonstrator by A F C Hillstead. The book says, "The body is very similar to the Vanden Plas body, and it is still unclear precisely who was responsible for the classic Vanden Plas style — whether it was Park Ward, Harrisons, or Vanden Plas. The person who probably should have been given the credit is H M Bentley. Chassis No. 183 is presently owned by L B Southward in New Zealand."
