"I found some more photos of chassis 17 taken by me in 1971. It was at the time on loan to Mr Sven Härnström, the man with moustache standing beside the car. These pictures ware taken at my parents' country house summer 1971. The photo from Stockholm was taken at the start of the "Skokloster rally" in August 1971"

"I have much information on this car of course and its history. The earliest photo is from 1927. The first owner was not Brune Prideaux as in Clare Hay's book but Fulke Knatchbull Prideaux Brune who was a Director of Bentley Motors although not yet at the time of purchase in December 1921.

Could Lars Hedborg who kindly posted the 1969 photo which I think shows Prince Bertil as the passenger please give me more info on the event / the publication and date."

This car has a Swedish history. It was imported here in the early 1960s from Kenya by Douglas Ebbersten, Esq. It was sold abroad by him in the mid 1990's. It was used extensively by the secretary of the Arctic Region (Swedish section) of the Bentley Drivers Club, Sven Härnström.

Coachwork is by Cadogan.

It was auctioned about 1990 by the leading Swedish auction company, Stockholms Auktionsverk, but did not meet reserve. I wrote the catalogue text.
