The photo in front of the house (on left) was taken at the 1986 RROC national meet in Newport, RI where it was awarded first in class. Two weeks later it won first in class and the Lord Montague of Bieulieu award for most outstand ing British car at Pebble Beach where I think the second photo was taken.

"Photo taken by myself as a boy in 1968, probably at a RR/Bentley meeting at Blenheim. According to ad in MS January 1970 it had a Gurney Nutting body at that time."

More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1207 with a Short standard 4-seater; maroon / black; 11/1925. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1207. New - BA 1218 FA 922 S/col 1228 G/box 571 (A?). Eng 1234 fitted 8/34 ex ch. 1227. In USA."
