"Sold new to B. M. Stewart, Dundee, Scotland in November 1925 and imported into New Zealand when he immigrated in March 1926. The current owner purchased the vehicle in 1960 and has rallied it extensively in New Zealand and competed in the 1988 Australian Bi-Centennial Rally. New gears were fitted to the gearbox and rear axle in 1996. The engine was rebuilt by the current owner 4 years ago."

| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1242 with a 2-seater body with dickey seat; grey / black; 11/1925. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1242. In New Zealand. Original body 2 seater with dickey. Engine SL 3065 ex ch. SL 3063 - 1235 was in ch. 168 now in ch. SL 3065. 880 wheels (new)." |
