"My father owned this car back in the early 1950s for a number of years when he was in the RAF. I believe he built and fitted the racing back body himself. I think he sold it to one of the flying officers at RAF Benson.

| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1184 with a standard 4-seater Sports; blue/black; 10/1925. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1184. "Accident 8/28. New rad, chassis frame, A box casing, front axle bed." Chassis now RT 1541 (as RT 1541 was crashed and rebuilt twice on new frames in 1928 there could be 3 frames numbered RT 1541!). Engine 318 ex ch. 313, 4 seater. Now fitted original Vanden Plas 4 seater body no. 1274 ex ch. RT 1538." |
