| More Info: | Car was advertised in the Mar. 1987 issue of "Hemmings Motor News" as "1925 Bentley 3 Litre Speed Model". Original Vanden Plas body, all original, fully restored, 3,000 miles, perfect condition. $75,000 firm. According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1171 with a Sporting 4-seater; scratched aluminium / black / green; 8/1925. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1171. Accident 1929 - new chassis and front axle - front axle now numbered MR 3398. 8 Litre hypoid diff YM 5047 fitted." |
