"I am the owner of 3 litre Bentley KLY 3."

("Just to let you know, two illustrations on your web site are mine [1] [2]. I did them back in the 1960s when I was art editor of The Autocar. At that time I also did work for Car Magazine and Profile Publications.")

"Dear Robert, Found more pictures of my Bentley from the 1960s and 1970s. I took my car to interview WO when I was art editor with AutoCar magazine.

We spent the day with WO, talking about railway trains, cars and aeroplanes. The car was not road taxed so I drove to his home on trade plates. The feature did appear in AutoCar, featuring my car on the cover.

The other pictures were taken when Chisborn Restorations did a body-off chassis work and re-paint."

In September 2015, AutoCherish.com put up a vintage Bentley car for sale stating the Chassis no. to be 110 and Reg no. SV 4513. We posted the details on this page, only to receive a prompt rebuttal from Lionel Burrell on Sep 29 (who is owner of 110 as shown below), saying, "The recent addition is not my car, please could you remove it from my listing. It is a reproduction of my car. I bought my car in the 1960, from the last owner who had the car from 1947 till I bought it. I have never put my car up for SALE."

The car photos and other details were replaced on the AutoCherish website with a notice stating, "No longer available - Sold or withdrawn from sale". The AutoCherish car photo and other details have since been moved to our Bentley Specials section. - VintageBentleys.org

Lionel Burrel, "I bought my car in the 1960, from the last owner, Dr Watkins, who had the car from 1947 till I bought it." - Sep 12, 2015

We have two e-mails (received in years 2011 and 2015) stating the year of purchase as 1963 and 1960 respectively. (Mr Burrel, please confirm.) - VintageBentleys.org

"Contrary to popular opinion, LB is not about to climb into mid-air, but positioning a ladder for our man Skilleter to take photographs."

("LB" stands for Lionel Burrell, associate editor, "Thoroughbred & Classic Cars" magazine, and Skilleter is presumably the photographer.)
