"EL's history starts in 1987...
There was no way that we could afford to buy a 3 litre so we built one for ourselves. We started with the rear halves of 2 side rails, 3 cross-members and one rear spring hanger.
The photo of EXP2 on page 36 of Tim Houlding's book "The Legends & the Thunder- Number I" was posted on the workshop wall as encouragement and after 10 years of scrounging, swapping and generally being a pain to everyone we knew with vintage Bentley connections, we had our own 3 litre." - Owner, Pat Sayers
