"This is a Cabriolet, 99% sure. I count only six Cabriolets built on 6½-litre chassis, four in 1927, two in 1930. Details like the door reaching down to the stepboards, the bumper and the float-type stepboards make me almost sure this is one of the 1930 cars, both of which were Speed Six long wheelbase chassis mounted by Thrupp & Maberly.
This would narrow it down to LR2800 or HM2851. A bit puzzling is the vee-screen which was already out of fashion by 1930.
All this under the impression the photo shows a first body on a 6½-litre, but as it looks like a new car and its a ca. 1929/30 body I believe its a first body."
